Microsoft 365 for a big, scattered county

Powys is huge and the drives between sites are long. That's exactly the sort of place where Microsoft 365 earns its keep. Email, files, and meetings live in the cloud. Your team can pick up the same work from Welshpool, Brecon, or a kitchen table near Llandrindod. We set it up so it just works - even when the broadband is wobbly.

Our Cloud Solutions service covers the full job. Audit. Migration. Security. Training. Ongoing care. We run almost all of it from our base in Ludlow, which keeps your costs down and our response time fast.

Microsoft 365 plans in plain English

There are three main plans for small firms. Business Basic gives you web email and Teams - cheap, but no installed Word or Excel. Business Standard adds the installed apps. Business Premium adds the security extras most rural firms really need: device management, Conditional Access, anti-phishing tools, and proper data loss rules.

We see two common Powys mistakes. Firms paying for Premium who never switched the safety features on. And firms on Standard who'd be much safer on Premium but never got the choice explained. We fix both.

Built for variable broadband

Let's be honest - the broadband in much of Powys is a struggle. Microsoft 365 still works well over it, but you need to tune things. We set up Outlook and OneDrive for offline use, so a dropped line doesn't stop the day. We turn down Teams video quality when it helps. We sync files only when needed.

Where the line really won't cut it, we deploy Starlink or 4G failover through our Internet Connectivity service. We've kept plenty of remote sites online that other firms had given up on.

The backup gap

Microsoft 365 keeps things online. It does not back them up. If someone deletes a folder by mistake, or ransomware locks your files, the standard tools only stretch so far. We add proper backup as part of our setup.

Across the border, not a world away

We're in Ludlow, just over the English border. Welshpool is about an hour's drive. Most Microsoft 365 work is done remotely, so distance hardly matters. When you want someone in the room, we plan the trip. For the deeper dive on plans, see our Business Premium page.

Local expertise

Microsoft 365 is particularly valuable for Powys businesses, enabling collaboration across the county's vast geography. We've helped businesses from Welshpool to Brecon make the most of cloud technology.
