Microsoft 365 set up the right way

Most Herefordshire firms are already paying for Microsoft 365. Trouble is, the typical setup is a mess. Email works, just about. Teams was installed but nobody trained the staff. SharePoint is a dumping ground. Half the team is on the wrong plan, and multi-factor login was promised but never finished.

We sort all of that out. Our Cloud Solutions service starts with a full audit. We pull a list of every account, every licence, every shared mailbox, every device. Then we fix what's broken and switch on the parts you're already paying for.

Microsoft 365 plans in plain English

There are three main plans for small firms. Business Basic is web-only email and Teams - cheap, but no installed Word or Excel. Business Standard adds the installed apps. Business Premium is the safer choice for most firms, because it adds device management, Conditional Access, and anti-phishing tools you actually need.

We see two common mistakes in Herefordshire. Firms on Premium who never switched the security features on. And firms on Standard who really should be on Premium, but were never told the difference. We fix both.

Working with rural broadband

Broadband in parts of Herefordshire is still flaky. Microsoft 365 works fine over it, but you need to tune things. We set up offline access for Outlook and OneDrive so a dropped line doesn't stop the day. We adjust Teams settings for lower bandwidth. Where the line really won't cut it, we recommend Starlink or 4G failover through our Internet Connectivity service.

The backup gap

Microsoft 365 does not back itself up. That surprises most people. If a folder gets deleted by mistake, or ransomware locks your files, the built-in tools only get you so far. We add proper third-party backup as part of our service.

Local hands when it matters

Most Microsoft 365 work is done remotely. But when you want someone in the room - to train staff, plan a migration, or sit down with the leadership team - our Leominster-based engineer is 15 minutes from Hereford. For the deeper dive on plans, see our Business Premium page.

Local expertise

We've helped professional services firms in Hereford city, rural businesses struggling with slow connections, and growing companies at Skylon Park all get more from Microsoft 365. We understand the practical realities of Herefordshire business.
