A growing solar portfolio operator was struggling to maintain reliable connectivity to remote sites across the Welsh Marches. Poor mobile signal meant their monitoring platform often showed sites as offline when they were generating normally. The solution
We deployed Starlink at two particularly remote sites and bonded 4G connections at the others using Peplink routers for automatic failover. We implemented edge computing at each site to buffer data during connectivity gaps and set up a centralised monitoring dashboard with prioritised alerting. Critical alarms now reach the operations team within seconds.
