What they were dealing with
A family-run estate with a working farm, holiday cottages, and forestry operation was struggling with near-unusable broadband. The farmhouse got 3Mbps on a good day, and the estate office in a converted barn had no wired connection at all. Filing RPA claims took hours, holiday guests complained about WiFi, and farm management software was effectively unusable.
The solution
We installed Starlink at the main farmhouse with a clear sky view, giving them 150Mbps+ reliably. We then used a point-to-point wireless link to bring connectivity to the estate office 400m away. The holiday cottages got their own isolated guest network. Total project cost was less than the failed trenching quote they'd received for fibre.
